I am from a Nigerian/Russian heritage although I do not identify with these cultures since my entire childhood was spent within the English care system during the 1950’s and 60’s.

I barely knew my parents and eventually discharged from ‘care’ in my mid teens with little knowledge of how to navigate the wider society.

My early adult years were extremely difficult and I lacked the stability to create the life I dreamed of.

A Band of Brothers took me on a journey of that allowed me to make sense of my childhood and to find purpose and meaning as a mentor and guide to young men from similar circumstances.
