aBoB received the highest charity accolade, the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service on Monday July 20th at Brighton’s Corn Exchange.
It was a wonderful event – warm, humorous and most importantly, a deserved recognition of how far abob have come as an organisation. It was truly moving
to see all the aBoB men present – young and old – receive the certificate and ward from Peter Field, the Lord Lieutenant of Sussex. “It wouldn’t seem right for one man
to receive this award when we are a community of men,” said Chief Executive, Nathan Roberts while acknowledging 30,000 volunteer hours contributed by aBoB men.
